The smell of Victory

Is definitely a sweet smell when you've stayed the course, stayed committed, rose above temptations and your own personal doubts to win! I'm two days away to crossing my finish line in fulfilling 30 days without any alcohol, desserts and junk food. I'd stated in my last post that I plan on rising 30 min earlier to get an AM workout in, that is until I found out later that I'll be working O/T. Which means earlier mornings and longer working days. However, this week in itself is posed to be a personal test for me - a test more so of my will and to confirm the depth of my desire to see how lean I can go,(12-15%BF) and fit comfortably into those clothes still hanging on my bedroom door.
To continue to achieve my personal best, I have to raise the bar, and with this week looming up as one that is set to challenge me physically and mentally - work, and study and still stick with my fitness plan, I am mentally ready to rise to this 5 day test. I know at the end of the day I will be tired, yet I need to get home and study to complete my course deadline. I can easily use this as an excuse to slack off in my workouts, but I need to prove to myself that I have it in me to do it, to adjust and adapt.
Doing this personal 30 day challenge has on a large scale lit a flame within me in ways that I never expected and I am embracing it!
This week (Monday-Friday) I'm committed to doing the following:
Rise at 5am 3 out of 5 working days.
Complete 8 cardio sessions of 25-35 min each
Complete 3/10 min sit-up sessions
Complete 2 upper and 2 lower body strength training -20 min each
Nutritional Plan:
Breakfasts - 3/4 cup oatmeal, 1 tbsp protein powder & 1 shot of organic wheat grass
Snacks - apples/boiled eggs/ small home made muffin/protein shakes/15 almonds
Lunches - salads, chicken/beans/sandwich
Dinners - veggies/beans/chicken/turkey/fish
It takes work, but it's worth it!! Keep moving!

Two more days! Awesome. Overtime. I always eat more when I've worked overtime in the past, but you've got it all planned out AND you're on a roll. You're such a busy person and you've even made HOME MADE MUFFINS. Pretty awesome.

P.S. I think of you every time I do one flight up of stairs. I say to myself, "One day I'll fly up and down the stairs like Diane." But it's nice to be able to go where I want these days even if it's not fast yet. Thanks for saying such nice things on my blog. It means a lot. :) said...

Hey Diane, Wow! What an ambitious schedule you have worked out. Will be thinking of you and am in awe of how organized and dedicated you are. I am like CHRISTY too...I really do think of you often and those stairs. You truly did strike a note on me with your stair racing. Right now in my life, I find climbing anything that look like uphill is such a challenge, and I think of you RACING up stairs. Wonder Woman!!!
Good luck next week. Will be pulling for you.
