Journey towards leanness on Day 57-120

Didn't noticed the blurry pic until I uploaded it!

My upper body muscles are telling me that I had an effective workout yesterday:-) I've missed feeling the burn and realized that I wasn't doing enough sets to see the best results. With 4 set of 12/10/8 of medium to heavy my muscles have concur by the burn that this is what I need to do to accelerate the fat burning furnace that will reveal lean muscle.
Today, it was leg work and cardio! Not sure if this only applies to me, but I find that working my upper usually takes longer than when it comes to working my legs. Of course, more body parts to work on in the Upper area. Hit the quads, hamstrings and calves and the beauty about leg work is that you can hit all the body parts using one exercise like "dead lifts".Seeing that my legs already get a lot of work; my sets and reps were set to 4 sets of 8/6/4 medium to heavy for 2 weeks, then adjust if needed. However, during my workout I noticed that the 8/6/4 wasn't working, so I immediately switched to 12/10/8 for 4 sets.
Then it is cardio time-I did 30 min of HITT yesterday so today will be a session of 30 min steady state. Seeing that I'm off sugar, I had to find alternate ways to make my food tasty. I made oatmeal last night for a few breakfasts with unsweetened soya milk and added chopped dates...walla, who needs sugar when the natural sugar from the dates works wonders with a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon. It was creamy and tasty!
This week I'm looking to consume less meat products - so I have to get creative with some legume and lentil dishes; I think it will go great with my roasted squash and a bit of butter for added flavor!
Always make choices that will be beneficial to you!

Hi Diane, checking in to see how you're doing. Thanks for the shout out yesterday! I too love dates but can easily overeat them. I like to pair them with almonds. YUM!
