Week 1 of 6

Hello faithful Shredders:
Hope you're all doing well in life! Though away I've not forgotten about my cyber Friends and what we all have in common - striving to optimize our health and reach personal fitness goals.
I've been battling one cold and flu after another and exerting all that energy has most definitely gotten me off my game plan. However, after some serious self assessment, refocusing, prioritizing and re-evaluating I came to the conclusion that the attack of colds and flus over the past 3 months have consumed and over-taken every other area of my life. I couldn't seem to stand solidly on two feet before I got knocked down again.
I've since come to the conclusion that to win I have to fight, and I must see this as just a temporary obstacle that simply must be overcome (not the other way around), to win!
So folks, here I come one more time - arising to the challenge to not allowing temporary upsets to get the better of me.
What is my goal for the next 6 weeks?
To lose 10 lbs of fat!
My plan to get there?
Workout:
5-6 times per week with a combo of cardio and strength training for a 45-60 min per day. Sometimes I will implement cardio twice per day for 15-30 min per session!

Nutritional Plan
Breakfasts
oatmeal 3/4 cup with 1/4 cup blue berries
1 slice w.w.toast with 1 egg and 1/4 cup egg white and steamed spinach
Snacks

Soup
Fish or chicken with sweet potato or veggies or salad
Dinners
Omelet or chicken or fish or turkey with 1/2 cup brown rice or sweet potato and veggies.

Here's to making this week a rich and fulfilled one!

Diane, this has been the winter for some nasty flu and cold "crap"! I have also been under the weather for about five days now with a nasty cold, with nasal congestion and terrible hoarse voice. It just kills me with the ECSS coming up so soon. I almost feel like I am not ready. but ready or not, i am on my way!
